Built on my schlock, the Church does grand, I don't hear a soul complaining, Except those who don't understand, All of my good vibes are draining, How can you judge what you don't know? Can God not want for us to grow? At least my flock I'm retaining. Yes I know Christ does head the Church, And I know I'm but a shepherd, But I can't leave folks, not in a lurch WIth lit. that spurns them like lepers, They all just want a little jazz, A little pep, just some pizzazz, I'm with them, put it on record. Everyone knows that they do sin, Why should I dwell on it always? If you'd just smile, they'd let you in, They'll love you just like they love me, So don't set out to discipline And you may find their souls you'll win, What greater profit could outweigh? You say I'm not confessional, But I am very much that sort, It's just that I'm professional And they don't want me a bad sport, All I can say is when I leave, The next pastor would well conceive, To do just as I have as well. My church is growing, how is yours? I'm sure I can guess the answer, No one your Way does still prefer, You are to growth like some cancer, And I say all of this in love, But I feel I need to reprove You cuz you're sadly in error. Who said it's hard to minister? Jesus! Well He could well say it, But you think folks are sinister, Like they serve sin and obey it, But I am one who trusts my flock, They love my style, they buy my schlock, Thus God must more than okay it. Them I leading down a path They want to naurally follow, I give them love, they fear no wrath, They're full of it and they swallow Like thirsty souls what I pour out, They give it back, without a doubt, They're solid. Don't call them hollow. I've got a manner that outstrips Anything else that is out there, They like my way, they think I'm hip, I'm humble, coo - ool and not square, I wish I could be a DP And make all others do like me And when I judge you I'll be fair.
True Christians realize the Holy Spirit brings people to faith only by the proper preaching and teaching of the Word of God by Pastors with a variety of personalities and skills. What the faithful Pastors have in common is the pure Gospel and a desire to share it with sinners.
