One of the readers of the Webpage has pointed out that some of the material in an old report regarding St. Timothy Lutheran High in the Metroplex was in error. The person who supplied the original report admits that it was in error and that forgetfulness resulted in a correction not being made in a timely fashion. The news report has been removed from the Webpage, and we want to thank the reader who spotted this error and called it to our attention. We do not claim to be infallible; in fact, we quite easily may make mistakes in our zeal for getting the news out in a timely manner. Please let us know if you see something questionable.
While the Board of Directors did discuss the suggestion that the name of the school not include the name "Lutheran" that effort was not successful. We are grateful that most of the Board had the common sense to keep the name of our confession in connection with the school. We apologize for incorrectly passing along the false impression that this carried the day.
We are also assured that the doctrine that will be taught there will be Lutheran Church - Missiouri Synod confessional doctrine. We encourage parents and pastors in the area to monitor textbooks and curriculum to see that the Small Catechism and the Book of Concord are taugh and studied. We apologize that we put this unsubstantiated piece of information on the Webpage.
We offered to put an article telling us about the mission of St. Timothy Lutheran High School, written by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, but he refused. In spite of this, we needed to do the right thing by the Lord and our readers. We again regret, repent and apologize.
