May 1 Last Class

May 5 Confirmation Day
As I have reminded you at the beginning of the instruction period for confirmation, the instructions do not take the place of attending Divine Services and Sunday School. In fact, these activities of Christian congregations and families are as much a part of the youth's preparation for confirmation and receiving the Lord's Supper as are the classes and tests. It is in these activities that the truths of Christ learned in the classes become a part of the heart and life style.

Once again, let me encourage you parents, especially you fathers, to faithfully bring your family to Divine Services and feast, first for yourselves, on the Word and Sacraments God provides for you, and then as a faithful example to your catechumen, wife, other children and the congregation.

REMEMBER! The enclosed or boxed parts are Dr. Martin Luther s explanations. All
Lutherans treasure these. Every “box” is to be memorized. Some of the longer
ones will be broken up into two parts to help you. Pay close attention to
Pastor s directions, so you don t make extra work for yourself.

NOTICE! The questions we will cover are in RED PRINT in the Catechism.

CONFUSED? Ask your parents for advise. Call a classmate. Call the Pastor. There is
plenty of help. We all want to see you learning and loving God s Way.

PRAYER BEFORE STUDYING: Dear Lord Jesus, help me to learn the important
principles of faith and life which will help me stay with You through troubles and

love for me. Guide me through what I learn today on the road to Heaven. Amen.
