Simon flew in from England the Thursday before to experience his first domestic contest.  Sarah, age 4, daughter of NX5M just had to be in the picture.

This was our fourth consecutive year to do the August NAQP SSB Contest.  This is most certainly becoming a very popular contest as there seems to be an endless pool of contacts to be made.

This was a special year as we were going for our fourth consecutive August win.  Great ops DO make a huge difference as hourly qso rates averaged over 200/hour.

Construction began back in early 1997 and has today grown to a 10 tower station with construction of one more  planned to begin in late 2008.  Several other smaller towers are also erected in various locations on this 30 acre tract of land which sits on the peak of a hill with falling terrain in all directions except to the west.

Please keep in mind that contests generate many qsos per year.  I occasionally upload my logs to eqsl.cc for those who want a card the fast and easy way.  For those that want a surface mail qsl card I really appreciate those who send an SASE.  I no longer collect cards because I have everything I have ever wanted.  But if you want one of my cards, please send an SASE.  It speeds up the process.
