Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA)
Prohibits age discrimination in employment.
Americans with Disabilities Act Document Center
ADA statute whose purpose is to establish a clear and comprehensive
prohibition of discrimination on the basis of disability. The site also
contains guidelines, fact sheets, and other assistance material.
Title VII, Civil Rights Act of 1964
Prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA)
Allows terminated employees or those who lose coverage because of
reduced work hours to buy group coverage for themselves and their
families for limited periods of time. Proposed regulations 1/98.
Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as Amended
Establishes minimum wage, overtime pay, record-keeping and child labor standards.

Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
Entitles eligible employees to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job- protected
