Family Outreach is a community based volunteer
group dedicated to strengthening family life. We offer in-home services
designed to educate parents about child development, positive discipline,
family relationships, information on community resources, and emotional
support for the difficult job of being a parent.
Family Outreach offers:
- In-home family counseling.
- Parenting classes that cover topics such as positive discipline,
communicating with your child, baby care, child development, anger
and stress management and dealing with special needs children.
- Support Groups
- Telephone Crisis Counseling and referrals to community resources.
- School programs that teach children how to recognize and protect
themselves from becoming victims.
- Community education programs that help parents and teachers
better understand child abuse and how to prevent it.
- Programs and lectures for civic, church, and community groups.
When you call Family Outreach, we will:
- Respect your privacy.
- Visit with you personally in your home - no need to find a sitter.
- Support you emotionally to help you regain control when parenting
gets to be too much.
- Refer you to various agencies that can help ease the pressures of
day-to-day living.
- Offer you practical suggestions that can help you be a more effective parent.
